Exciting News! MYST is thrilled to announce our new LGBTQAI+ group mentoring program, now officially approved by the Department of Education!

This innovative program aims to educate high school students about diverse identities and create a supportive, inclusive environment. With a focus on the wellbeing of LGBTQAI+ students, it offers:

4 Key Modules:
1. Understanding Gender and Sexuality
2. Challenges Faced by the LGBTQAI+ Community
3. Creating an Inclusive Environment
4. Resources and Support

Our goal is to foster respect, raise awareness, and provide valuable resources to students who identify as LGBTQAI+. We’re excited to roll this out across schools and make a positive impact on our young people.

What is GiveOUT Day?

GiveOUT Day is Australia’s annual day of giving to LGBTQIA+ not-for-profit organisations and initiatives.

GiveOUT Day is an uplifting and powerful opportunity to come together and make a meaningful difference in rainbow communities.

GiveOUT seeks to match donations made to participating organisations dollar for dollar. That’s twice the funding. Double the impact.

Why is GiveOUT Day necessary?

GiveOUT Day empowers LGBTQIA+ community organisations by providing them with the funding they need but might not otherwise access—from both large philanthropic sources and generous public donations like yours.

Many of these vital organisations are volunteer-led, operating on budgets under $10,000 a year. Despite their crucial work, they remain significantly underfunded.
Only 5 cents of every $100 donated in Australia reaches LGBTQIA+ communities. Together, we can change that.

These organisations Like MYST are best placed to meet the needs of their own communities. Let’s ensure they have the resources to thrive.

On October 17th, every dollar you donate will be matched, doubling the impact (T&C apply).

GiveOUT Day is also an opportunity for the LGBTQIA+ community sector to come together to celebrate the incredible work we do and to raise awareness around what’s still to be done.

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re participating in GiveOUT Day 2024! This is Australia’s annual day of giving to LGBTQIA+ not-for-profit organisations and initiatives like ours. This year MYST are raising funds to hold a “Glitter and Groove” event to help bring together young LGBTQIA plus people in the Blue Mountains in a safe and supportive space to have some fun and foster a sense of community and belonging Every dollar you donate to us through GiveOUT Day will be MATCHED*—meaning twice the funding, double the impact!
