Javier started volunteering for MYST in February of 2025 and was later recruited to join the team of amazing workers we have at Mountains Youth Services Team. He attended MYST when he was in high school and loved the sense of community that provided for him through events. He always tries to make after-school drop-ins’ fun for every attendee and loves providing a safe space for people to express themselves.
He is transgender and uses he/him pronouns and is a big advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community as well as mental health and neurodiversity. Outside of work he loves to read, write, play games and paint landscapes while listening to classical music on vinyl records.
