Aislinn joined MYST from Melbourne, where she completed a Master of Social Work and worked supporting people experiencing chronic homelessness to access and sustain long-term housing. Shebrings a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to her work and is passionate about supporting young people to build confidence, develop agency, and create positive pathways for their future.
Before social work, Aislinn worked as a costume sewist in Melbourne’s theatre industry. Inspired by the creativity, self-expression, and resilience she witnessed in young people through school costume workshops, she pursued further study with a goal of providing holistic, wrap-around support to young people and their communities.
Outside of work, you’ll find Aislinn sewing her next project, rock climbing, exploring the Blue Mountains or strategising her next attempt at securing the longest road in Catan.
