Platform Youth Service
Platform Youth Services is an accommodation and specialist youth homelessness service in the Blue Mountains, Penrith and Hawkesbury area. MYST and Platform are co-located in a MYST managed space in Katoomba where MYST provides Early Intervention case management and Platform supports crisis accommodation needs. Having both services working together in this space ensures that young people’s crisis accommodation needs are met while the underlying issues that cause homlessness are also addressed.
Wesley Mission is a Christian faith based service provider offering support and advocacy for the most vulnerable members of our society. MYST delivers Outdoor Explore, an adventure based therapy program for Wesley Mission as part of its Youth Hope program.
NSW Department of Education
MYST works closely with Blaxland, Winmalee, Springwood, Katoomba High Schools and Blacktown Youth College, Lawson campus in the delivery of personal development and therapy based programs, which are designed to support students to remain engaged in their education.
JJ provide services to young offenders to decrease their reoffending and increase their capacity to successfully reintegrate into their communities. MYST works with JJ in the delivery of case conferencing, case management, developing and monitoring of outcome plans and the delivery on youth engagement programs.
The Stronger Families Alliance
SFA is network of government, nonprofit and voluntary organisations working together to bring friendship, fun and professional support to Blue Mountains families. MYST is a member of the alliance and plays a pivotal role in representing and implementing initiatives relating to young people.
Youth Action & Policy Association of NSW
Youth Action is the peak organisation representing young people and youth services in NSW. Youth Action works towards a society where all young people are supported, engaged and valued. MYST works directly and indirectly with Youth Action on a range of policy and sector reform initiatives.
Able2 is an NDIS organisation that supports people with disabilities. MYST runs Outdoor Explore programs for Able2 and we provide a space for Disability Hang Out.
Blue Mountains Youth Mental Illness and Substance Abuse Network
YMISA is a network of agencies and individuals, both government and non-government, working to improve the mental health outcomes of young people living in the Blue Mountains. MYST is the lead agency in a number of YMISA initiatives including research, staff training, sector networking and a range harm minimization campaigns.
State Debt Recovery
State Debt Recovery is responsible for the receipt and processing of fines issued by various government agencies and authorities, and administering the fine enforcement system for the collection of unpaid fines. MYST works with SDR in the administration of work and development orders, which allow clients to reduce their fines through unpaid work and through certain courses or treatment.
Blue Mountains Adventure Company
Blue Mountains Adventure Company has been a strong supporter and partner of MYST for many years. They have recently been purchased by World Expeditions, an Australian based company that delivers adventures all over the world. BMAC donates their guides and equipment to MYST for our FACS funded programs and provides fantastic deals on hiring their equipment and vans for our fee for service programs.
Youth Off The Streets
YOTS is helping disconnected young people to discover greatness within by engaging, supporting & providing opportunities to encourage and facilitate positive life choices. YOTS partners with MYST to run the Rock and Water program in schools.
Varuna Writers House
MYST has partnered with the Varuna Writers House to give young people who have a strong interest and ability in writing the opportunity to develop their skills through a series of workshops.
Generous support by both government funding bodies and commercial organisations and business enables MYST to carry out its work in supporting the development of disadvantaged and at-risk young people.
